Book of John study notes: chapter 20-21Amy Zhao·Last edited June 12·15 minute readSaveBook of John study notes: chapter 20-21约20:1 七日的第一日清早,天还黑的时候,抹大拉的马利亚来到坟墓那里,看见石头从坟墓挪开了,The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. 约20:2 就跑来见西门彼得和耶稣所爱的那个门徒,对他们说:“有人把主从坟墓里挪了去,我们不知道放在哪鶪!”Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.On the Sunday, Mary Magdalene came to the grave and saw the stone blocking in front of the grave had been removed. Then, she run to Peter and John and told them there was no Jesus inside the grave. Peter and John run very fast to the grave to see what happened. John run faster than Peter. They saw the body-cover linen was still in the grave, but there was no Jesus inside. Peter also saw the head cover was also in the grave, but not with the body-cover together. Then, John believed and understood the scripture about the resurrection of the Messiah. Then, both left the grave and went back home. But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my LORD, and I know not where they have laid him. And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he had spoken these things unto her.Mary Magdalene stood beside the grave and crying for losing Jesus. She saw 2 angles sitting inside the grave. One angel asked Mary why she cried. Mary answered someone took Jesus body away and she did not know where they took him. Then, another angle asked Mary whom she looking for. Mary thought he was a gardener and asked him to tell her where they took Jesus’s body away. The 2nd angel was the resurrected Jesus, but Mary could not recognize him. Then, Jesus said Rabboni which meant Master, to Mary. Then, Mary understood this 2nd angel was Jesus. Mary wanted to touch Jesus, but Jesus said not to touch his body, because he had not ascended to heaven yet. Jesus asked Mary to speak his resurrection news to his disciples, and about his ascending truth to God. Jesus said his Father God was also the Father for his disciples. 耶稣来站在当中,对他们说:“愿你们平安!”Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 约20:23 你们赦免谁的罪,谁的罪就赦免了;你们留下谁的罪,谁的罪就留下了。”Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. On Sunday night, all disciples were staying together with Jesus and shut the door close because they were afraid of the Jews. The Jews who killed Jesus, representing the enemies within your own people.Jesus gave Peace to his disciples, and shew them his hand and chest. Then, all his disciples were very happy. Jesus told them he would send them to the people as how Father God sent him to his disciples. Then, Jesus breathed to the disciples, and right away the Holy Ghost was with them in heart. Jesus gave command that his disciples were able to relieve sins or keep sins on people, if they decided so.Once the disciples had the Holy Ghost with them, they had power from above, and they stayed together with Jesus Christ and God. This gave them the authority among people. But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 耶稣来站在当中说:“愿你们平安!”And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 不要疑惑,总要信!”Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 约20:28 多马说:“我的主,我的 神!”And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God. 约20:29 耶稣对他说:“你因看见了我才信,那没有看见就信的有福了!”Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 约20:31 但记这些事,要叫你们信耶稣是基督,是 神的儿子,并且叫你们信了他,就可以因他的名得生命。But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.Thomas did not see Jesus when Jesus came out of the grave and stayed with his disciples. Hence, Thomas did not believe on what the rest disciples told them. Thomas said unless he could see the wound mark on the hand and chest, he would not believe in what they told him. 8 days later, Thomas with the rest disciples staying together in the same room, and Thomas saw Jesus. They were still afraid of the Jews, and Jesus gave them peace in heart.Jesus asked Thomas came to him and let Thomas touched his wound. Then, Thomas believed in the resurrection, and called Jesus the Lord God. Jesus told them those who believed in the resurrection before seeing Jesus had the bless from God. Hence, Thomas even he believed, he had no blessings or less blessings from God.John said Jesus did many miracles during the 3 and half years walk, but John did not record all of them in this book. For whatever written in the book was for the future generation to believe that Jesus was the true Son of God, the Christ who could give the eternal life in his own name. After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself. There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. 他们回答说:“没有!”Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. After the resurrection, one day, Peter, Thomas, Nathanael, sons of Zebedee, and another 2 disciples went to the sea together, for fishing. For a whole night, they did not catch any fish. In the morning, they saw Jesus standing on the shore, but they did not notice it was Jesus. Jesus asked them drop the net on the right side of the ship, and short moment later, they caught up a whole net of fish. Then, John spoke to Peter, he was the Lord. Peter realized it was Jesus guided them to fish, while he had no coat on him. The, Peter put on his coat and dived into the sea. After the resurrection, Jesus shew himself couple of times to his disciples, but not stayed with his disciples for all day long. For every time Jesus shew him to the disciples, the disciples could not notice it was Jesus. This means how Jesus looked like changed for every time he showing up.Jesus asked them to drop the net on the right side of the ship. Right side means right, correct. Fish means the children of God, the rest people who are not coming to the world as the prophets or apostles. Ship means the way towards heaven. Only when the disciples did the correct thing, made the right decisions, it is possible for them receive fish and ship towards heaven with all the fishes.Peter could not notice it was Jesus speaking to them, and Peter did not wear any clothing when he spoke to Jesus. It means the disciples do not know Jesus at the very beginning, and before they know Jesus, they were naked with sins. But since they know Jesus, they have no sins any more, and have the garment with them for going to heaven. It is the same meaning too, for Falun Dafa practitioners at the End Age. Before Falun Dafa practitioners know the Lord Jesus Christ who is in Heaven is the Upper-Master, they have sins on their feet. Their feet are not clean. Once Falun Dafa practitioners accept Jesus Christ as God, they will be totally clean and have the white garment with them for the heavenly feast. And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. There were many other disciples came to help, and they dragged the fish net to the sea shore. On the land, there were fire, fish and bread. It was Jesus prepared for his disciples. Jesus asked them to take the fish net on the land. They counted 153 big fishes, and the net never broken. Jesus asked them to eat the breakfast. Jesus gave them fish and bread to eat, and none of the disciples asked who he was, because they all knew it was the Lord. This was the 3rd time Jesus shew himself to his disciples. The number 3, representing Jesus Christ. For Father God Yahwah ranks #1, Mother God Holy Ghost ranks #2, and Lord Jesus Christ ranks #3.As well, Abel and Seth who were the same person reincarnated, as the 2nd and 3rd son from Adam and Eve, were also Jesus. King Solomon who was the 3rd son of her mother, was also Jesus. So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 约21:18 我实实在在地告诉你:你年少的时候,自己束上带子,随意往来;但年老的时候,你要伸出手来,别人要把你束上,带你到不愿意去的地方。”Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. 说了这话,就对他说:“你跟从我吧!”This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.After the breakfast, Jesus came to ask Peter that whether Peter loved him. And Peter answered yes, for he loved Jesus. Then, Jesus commanded him to feed his sheep. Jesus asked Peter the same question the 2nd time, Peter answered that he loved Jesus. And Jesus commanded Peter to feed his sheep. Then, Jesus asked Peter the same question for the 3rd time. Peter did not understand why and felt sad, and answered that he loved Jesus. Then, Jesus commanded Peter again to feed his sheep.Jesus asked Peter the same question 3 times, because before the crucifixion, Peter denied Jesus’s name for 3 times. But now, Peter repeated that he loved Jesus for 3 times, all the sins Peter made before were forgiven by Jesus Christ. God made the plan on Peter and to use Peter as the example for show the love and mercy from the Lord Jesus Christ. By the love from the Lord, Peter was forgiven. And Jesus gave the best example for his future generation Christians on what should the love looked like. Love means compassion, mercy and forgiveness. As well, Christians must show their love to Jesus by their behaviors, which is the working of the good works for God. Christians who work as the disciples must feed the sheep for themselves and for the Lord. Being the disciples means to call for the rest children of God to come to the Lord for salvation. Then, Jesus gave the prophecy for Peter’s own ending days. Jesus said once Peter was young, he was free and to do whatever he would like to do. But when Peter getting old, he would loss his freedom and others would set him in prison. What Jesus meant was the death of Peter, on how Peter would glorify God through his death. Then, Jesus asked him to follow Jesus. After Peter answered 3 times that he loved Jesus, all his past sins were forgiven, and right away Peter would begin his new life as the true disciple of Jesus Christ. And Peter needed to learn how to follow Jesus as a re-born disciple. Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? 约21:21 彼得看见他,就问耶稣说:“主啊,这人将来如何?”Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? 你跟从我吧!”Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. 约21:23 于是这话传在弟兄中间,说那门徒不死;其实耶稣不是说他不死,乃是说:“我若要他等到我来的时候,与你何干?”Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. Now, John revealed who was the one asked Jesus about the betrayer at the last dinner. It was John himself. Peter asked Jesus about John’s future. Because Jesus revealed Peter’s future ending to all, which made Peter curious to know other disciples’ future story. Then, Jesus said John would wait till Jesus came back on earth again, and Jesus said that had nothing to do with Peter, and Peter should not worry about others, but only on how to follow Jesus and how to feed the sheep well for God.Then, among the disciples, they were discussing on John, and saying John would not die on earth, but lived on earth till Jesus came back again. This was the disciples’ own understanding and saying, but in the original words, Jesus never said John would not die. Jesus just said John would tarry till he came back. What Jesus said here is that Jesus proclaim that he will come back on earth again, for the 2nd time. And by the time arrives, John will be on earth waiting for Jesus’s come. John in at generation is myself in this last generation. John is me, Amy Zhao, since the Holy Ghost baptised me by water at night in December 2016. From Dec 2016, I started to live a life as ‘John the apostle’ till the day Jesus Christ appearing in the clouds and picks me up to Heaven. At the end of the book, John said John recorded these testimonies was for the world to know Jesus Christ was true, and all the testimonies that Jesus did were also true. Jesus did many miracles and wonders while he was walking in the world, and most of them John did not write down. Because one book could not record them all, and even the whole world had no capacity to contain them all.
